Say hello to Mya – our summer intern for 2010.  Mya is a senior at that other school down the road where she is majoring in communications.  She’ll be writing, blogging tweeting and doing market research for us.  We just got the first blog she’ll be working on up and running: Traveling With Music.  Mya is good.  Seriously.  I don’t know how we find these people.  You should follow Mya here.

Blogazines: Death of the Blog Post?

jason1Speaking of magazines still being relevant in the age of iPhones (see previous post), SmashingMagazine.com recently had a great article on the Blogazine – create individual, unique blog posts with highly styled and designed layouts like magazine articles. UVA Blogging

A recent post on the CVillain blog mentioned us at being behind a new UVA blogging site gaining some recent press. Several UVA students, with help from Cloudbrain, launched a “gossip”-focused blog at UVA a few weeks ago. The desire was to explore social media and the changing face of publishing on the Internet – as well as to celebrate fun and social life at UVA. Thanks to some other, more scandalous, sites the blog has found itself in the middle of an interesting conversation regarding publishing, anonymity, privacy and appropriateness. We have taken the site down.
