FixTunes: And We’re Back…

Sorry about that everyone.  The site needed to be shut down for a bit so we could move things to bigger/faster servers.  We apologize to those of you that have been using FixTunes for the last few days and experiencing slow song identifications.

As of 8:43pm EST, the new servers are fully online.  However, due to some DNS propogation issues, some of you  in various parts of the world may need to wait another hour.  Again, sorry.  If you continue to have issues, please contact us here.

Thanks for your patience while we make FixTunes better.

Its Nice that you didn’t tell anyone when they signed on that you were shuting down for web work. I just got thru buying Fixtunes AGAIN because I thought my computer had dropped the program again and I was out of reboots on your files.
Now I spent another 30 bucks and I’m getting nothing out of your Fixtunes…. this is after you say its all fixed and back on line.. the time is now 29:17 PST time….
WHATS GOING ON……… PLEASE FIX or else I want a refund

It’s 01:17 Tuesday… Do you know where your server is? ‘Cuse I sure don’t see it yet. You better Check around back and see if that little cable is plugged in. hey Greg. I Don’t think there is a “29:17 PST”. At least not on this planet

    Greg / Howard:

Unfortunately, due to the nature of DNS some people may take longer to see the servers back online. This is completely dependent on your Internet Service Provider and not something we have control over. As of last night, the fixtunes.com domain name was resolving for Comcast and Embarq / Sprint on the East Coast. Please let us know if you continue to have issues - official Internet wisdom says it can take up to 48 hours to complete for everyone everywhere (though I have never seen it take that long).

    You just don’t get it!
You sell us a product that REQUIRES a server connection, then you simply, quietly, without warning, remove the connection. Now you act surprised when a few of us get pissed. I just want a refund. The product, and your attitude stink. I have started a small campaign with my groups to let them know about your crappy product. Maybe we can save others from investing in this junk.

Don: I’m sorry you feel that way. You are right, we should have done a better job providing information and updates regarding the server move. It took us by surprise - the old servers maxed out over the weekend and our priority was to move things to a new server and get them back up and running as soon as possible. You have a right be be upset. I can imagine the frustration to have the program you just bought suddenly stop working. You can email support[at]cloudbrain.com to get a refund.

The server isn’t working for me either, it keeps telling me to check my internet connection. If you are reading this post, I have a connection to the internet.

Simon - Can you see FixTunes.com in your web browser? If you can, then your problem is not related to the recent server move - it is a conflict with the application on your computer. Please use the FixTunes Support page. If you can’t see the FixTunes.com website, let me know - I’d be very surprised if some people are still having DNS issues.
